Work Boat Hire Options

If you’re planning a project on water and require specialist work boat hire, Workboat Provider can help.

Whether you’re working on rivers, in-shore or off-shore, canals, bays, estuaries, lakes, reservoirs, ports or marinas, our nationwide work boat hire agreements are designed to help you.

It might be for a day, week, month or longer; our dedicated team has decades of experience working on water and is well placed to advise on your project needs.

The first choice when considering work boat hire is the easiest: do you need a bareboat hire, where you take delivery of the craft and get on with it, or do you want one of our experienced crew to take charge of water duties allowing you to concentrate on the job?

In truth, 80 to 90 per cent of our hirers want us to skipper the boats, whether it’s working directly on the project or waiting in the wings, allowing clients to concentrate on the job.

Either way, we deliver your boat full of fuel and with the necessary ancillary equipment needed for your task. Our boats are fully equipped and regularly tested, so all you have to do is concentrate on the project.

If you’re in any doubt about which boat or package you need, how long you need it for, the capability or whether to crew it, get in touch on 01206 806232 or email info@workboatprovider.co.uk.

Our work boat hire craft

Our three most commonly hired boats are ready for anything. Water safety is paramount for our customers and our staff, and we should never underestimate the challenges of working afloat. All our safety boats and equipment are transportable by road and easily assembled, so you’re paying for time in the water rather than getting everything prepared.

We have three types of craft:

01

Four 3.6m plastic Rigiflex New Matic 360 boats, which can take up to six people, including the helm. These are excellent for more straightforward jobs. Resilient and stable in poor weather, they are licensed by the Port of London Authority, allowing us to work independently on the River Thames.

02

One 4.3m 420 HD Bombard Typhoon inflatable rib specialises in reaching difficult access areas and can also take up to six people. It’s easily transportable and simple to assemble, making it an adaptable all-rounder.

03

One 7.8m Ribcraft inflatable rib with a 250HP Suzuki outboard can accommodate up to 10 people and travel 20 miles offshore during the daytime and 10 miles offshore at night, thanks to its MCA Category 3 certificate. It’s purpose-built to withstand the demands of commercial use and is also licensed by the Port of London Authority.

Our work boat hire option offers a comprehensive, nationwide service that you can rely on.

Fitting in with Your Needs

Our different boats sometimes suit different needs. All can stand the different challenges of water, whether at sea or on a narrow canal, a tidal river or a calm reservoir. Equally, we can get into tight spaces like under bridges or along riverbanks. We have a boat for every task.

Simply contact us and tell us about the project you’re planning, and we’ll advise on which work boat hire options you need.

Extra Options

Depending on the contract, you might need more than just a boat. We can help. As part of your work boat hire, we can provide ancillary equipment and facilities like pontoons, walkways, gangways, floating bridges or platforms, plus an experienced crew.

If your project is intricate, we can build a bespoke structure to adapt to your requirements. Not all projects are identical, so we appreciate that structures need to be adaptable.

Every project is different, and so is each location. We have the experience to deal with tidal flows, higher-than-normal river levels, sandbanks, and hidden hazards – all potential obstacles. Often, paying for an experienced crew can speed up a project, but ultimately, the choice is yours.

Work boat hire safety

All our boats are regularly checked and tested, as are all our equipment and our staff. Work boat hire is a serious business, and you need to trust us.
